Using Soul Cafe
So, as you can see, Soul Cafe is an awesome resource. It was developed by the Oregon Lutheran Synod, and they've graciously let us use it. However, for our purposes this space is strictly non-denominational, or multi-denominational, whatever you want to call it. And they know that's how we're using it, and it's totally fine. So I'd just like to make sure everyone's clear that even though this was developed as a Christian forum, any and all views are welcome here.
Now that that's out of the way, I'd like to propose we as a neighborhood take advantage of the "Prayer Box" feature. The prayer box is the only feature of Soul Cafe that is clearly religious. Instead of ignoring it because we aren't a coherent religious group, I propose we use it to ask each other passively for small favors or gifts. For example if I lost my keys I could post "Can't find my keys anywhere! Has anyone found a set of keys out in the street?" and maybe someone did pick up my keys but didn't know I was missing them. Or "My bike got a flat tire, anyone got a patch kit?" We can use it as a place for long-shots, passive favors, small acts of kindness. What is a prayer but a passive request for help anyway?

Occupy Soul Cafe
Thanks, Sam, for setting this up. Yes, Soul Cafe is meant to be a community space, even "sacred" space, set up by the Lutheran Church for church use, but it certainly isn't mean to be just for church people. (I mean, now boring would THAT be?!) We want to be talking, all of us together, about whatever is on our minds - same energy as he Occupy movement. So, have your own conversation here, but feel free to dip in any and everywhere else you might want to go.
