Working with Groups

I'm frankly taking too much time in the evenings playing with Soul Cafe. I want to learn it, #1, and see it succeed, #2.  Here's a thought on groups.

Under the "Community" tab you can see all the groups that have been formed. This is helpful right now because there aren't many groups. Only two pages worth, and most are experimental or not growing yet. Soon, though, there will be pages and pages of groups and this "Community" tab to "groups" entry into SC won't be so useful. You can use this option to search for group and new groups will be announced on the "Home" page. I think, though, that the "My Stuff" tab to "My View" option might be the intended way to go. Here you'll have access to just your stuff. It won't get you into new groups, but it will help you navigate easily through those groups you've joined.  It's a learning curve thing. Play around with it.  That's helping me.

P.S. - below this message box are some "sbscription" options - like "image" "flags" "groups" and "notifications." The "Groups" selection lets you choose where your blog message, comment, or document goes. The default is to send it to the group you start with - always good.  But, you can pick more than one group.  So, since this is a general information piece, I'm sending it to both the "Welcome" group and the "Oregon Synod" group.  Not everybody wants everything (for sure) but sometimes this seems appropriate. Two birds . . .
