Hi everyone,

It was good to see all of you at our Tigard meeting. Sorry (again) about my late arrival.

It seemed like there were a number of action items between now and Synod Assembly? Could we getat least the meeting summary to include in our congregational newsletters for March? I addressed some of our work at our local congregation's council meeting last night, but may have missed some things.

I'm trying to create/update a group email for our Synod Council members. Could you please "reply all" or otherwise check in with the Synod office about your current contact info so we can keep in touch with each other, individually and otherwise? Both phone numbers and email addresses would be helpful.

Feb 2012 synod council meeting

Here's an idea: how about you sharing your notes from the meeting with the whole council? That could be the meeting summary! I look forward to reading it. You were sent the current roster (with contact information ) in October by Cynthia. If it has disappeared, you can contact her or Jan and they can send you another copy. I know from experience that it is like pulling teeth to get individual replies (just look at the blank spaces on the Faces and Names sheet that I tried to put together for the Oct meeting) from council members.... There are currently 12 synod council members in this SC group too.

I have finally made it to Soul Cafe. From my quick review today, it is very interesting and promises to be more substantive than I find Facebook. Hope to be here more often as time goes along. I still struggle a bit with social media, and how to use it appropriately. I will try. Good meeting in Tigard. Looking forward to Synod Assembly in Sunriver.

Soul Cafe has lots of capacity for work centered groups. Yes!! Unlike FB we can post documents, PPTs, videos, etc. etc. The genius is that it is all retrievable through a search engine AND attachments can be made conversation specific. Also, the format allows for 'cross pollination' of ideas and resources. So, anyboyd in the who community, no matter what group they are in, can search for and find materials from any group.

We need to supply the substance :) but Soul Cafe will supply the way to find it!!
