Gift from God, ability to show a Faith Movement

Hi Rebecca, and welcome to Soul Cafe.

How about we start a "Poetry of the Spirit" group or something like that? I suspect there are lots of people who would like to share poetry, visual art or artistic videos even. That would be fun.

Soul Cafe is at its best when groups are open to everybody and not a part of any one synod or congregation. It's even our hope to welcome non Lutheran or seeker folks, etc - even just spiritual partners glad to be wherever theyare with God. What better forum could there be for that than poetry?!

Let me suggest the following:

1) You upload a picture of yourself for your profile. That's a bug-a-boo of mine. I like color and hate to see those plain, grey, boxie people graphics.

2) Be bold and start a new group for poetry. If it's not clear to you how to do this just say here and I or the Community Moderator will be glad to help you. All you need to start a group is a description of what you want to see happen. The group page is a nice place to have a picturre of something relevant, too. You can check out a few other group pages just for ideas.

As a rule the person who starts a group sort of agrees to tend and nurture it. That means putting content up, helping find more participants, throwing In a discussion question or two - like that. I'd be glad to help. You and I could both put up some content, I know a few people who would love to join, and we're on our way.

What do you think about format? A person could put poems simply in a comment like this, or you could create a file (written, audio, video, visual) and upload that. You game?
