Seeking a Portland church w/showers
A woman in my church works at Lewis and Clark college in career development. Every year they send out a group of students to do community service work in Portland. This group of students needs a place they can go at the end of the day to debrief, eat, and sleep. They are seeking a Portland church with showers, a kitchen, and a floor to sleep on and would provide an honorarium. The dates are August 18-24th.

Bethel has a shower and also a kitchen. I think that the Drop-In Program is finished that weekend. They are awaiting a new Pastor but I think if you would call Bethel and leave a message asking for a contact number for Karen Anderson she would be able to figure this out with her. She is a good contact for this kind of thing.
P.S. Would you be willing to pass along the name and contact number of the person at Lewis and Clark so I could have a relational meeting with her. Mt. Carmel is located right next to Lewis and Clark.
