Lots of pancake filled fun!

What a great evening!  It looked like at least 200 folks came through to eat pancakes, dance, sing, and give to the Good Samaritan Food Bank.  There were volunteers from Bethel Lutheran, Peace Lutheran, Portsmouth Trinity Lutheran, Blessed Temple Community church and a few neighborhood volunteers, too.

If you're a Facebook user, watch this link for pictures from the event: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Peace-Lutheran-Church-Portland-OR/185364883576

Stay tuned and we'll let you know the final tally on donations received.

And Pastor Bill Van Nostrum, who is on the board for Good Samaritan, let us know how the money was spent (monthly bills and additonal food) and told us that the three items needed most were peanut butter, tunafish and macaroni & cheese.

In these tough times - don't forget to help out your local food pantries.

Cheers!
