Pub Talk for 20-30 somethings with Rob Kugler, Professor of Christian Studies at Lewis and Clark, 7:30pm Thursday, January 12th, 2012, at the Lucky Labrador, 915 SE Hawthorne

Event Description:  What good is the Bible, anymore? Christians, let alone non-believers, read it less and less, increasingly they find it irrelevant to their lives today. Indeed, for all of the talk in public about the Bible, surveys show that there is far less reading of it in private.

In this group, we'll engage the question posed above. We'll hear from some believers who still find the Bible worth the read, from a scholar who thinks it is an overlooked classic, and from those who think it pointless. The conversation will be about hearing views, sharing perspectives, an occasion for everyone to learn from one another.

All are welcome to attend this event, regardless of age.  If you have any questions, post to the ELCA Pub Talk group discussion.
