Alaska Synod Youth Ministry Network

Mission

The Mission of the Alaska Synod Youth Ministry Network (ASYMN) is to identify, empower, equip, and assist adult lay youth ministry volunteers across the State.

Vision

Our vision is to equip Lay Congregational Leadership to work and network together to experience creative ways to minister to the youth of our Synod. This Alaska Synod Youth Ministry Network will be made of people who are dedicated to youth ministry and all levels of experience in Youth and Family Ministry.

Goals for the Future

The ASYMN hopes to accomplish:

Accomplish an annual lay leadership training event (Youth Leadership Collegium)

Create a youth leaders database and email network for support and questions

Create Synod events. i.e.

o Synod Sponsored in-state Mission trip

o Combined Camp and Retreat opportunities

o Regional and Cluster events

o State Wide Sr. High Retreat

Provide a shared forums, resources, and support those doing youth ministry in Alaska.
