High, Deep, and Wide

The Montana Synod is hosting a program this fall called, “High, Deep, and Wide”. It is designed to assist synod congregations in their mission planning.  The “High” portion focuses on our relationship to God; the “Deep” portion focuses on our relationship to one another; the “Wide” portion focuses on our relationship to neighbor and the world.

As a part of this program we are gathering resources and best practices to share (web-based, books, programs, etc.).  We want to know what works!

Please share any resources your congregation has found that have helped to strengthen any of these three areas.

HIGH…what have you found that works for spiritual formation and practice?

DEEP…what have you found that works for discipleship and community building?

WIDE…what have you found that works for engaging and serving neighbor and world?

    1) The date/place of the HDW gathering your congregation will be attending.
    2) The number of persons attending.

The Scripture theme for HD&W is from Ephesians.  “And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ…”     

The love of Christ points us HIGH to our relationship with God, DEEP to our relationship with one another, and WIDE to our relationship with the world.
