Connecting to the community and its' traditions.
This is my vote in this poll.
Rev. Robert K. Leaverton, Pastor
Immanuel Lutheran Church
Before returning to the Lutheran church, our family was Eastern Orthodox for 10+ years.
In the Eastern Orthodox Christian tradition one moves through Lent with the disciplines of: No meat, no eggs, no dairy, no olive oil, no wine, no sexual intimacy. And Lenten Worship Services.
Lately I enter Lent with the aim of being more present to my children.
Lord Jesus help me.
