Reconciling in Christ - We Welcome Everybody!

We are excited to have the opportunity to talk about the Reconciling in Chirst program. We'll discuss why this might be an important step for your congregation and how to start the process. Guests from RIC churches will talk about their experience of becoming RIC and how that has affected their congregations.

Do you have any questions about RIC and full inclusion that we can answer here or at the workshop, or do you have any comments about your church's actions to be welcoming and inclusive?

Thoughts on Marriage Equality

A group for discussion of marriage equality issues.

The Washington legislature has passed a bill providing marriage equality in the State of Washington, and Governor Chris Gregoire has signed it into law. Barring passage of a referendum to overturn the bill, Washington will become the seventh state in the United States to recognize marriages of same gender couples.

Celebrating with Saint Mark - Salem, Oregon - The ELCA Oregon Synod's Newest RIC Congregation

On October 30th, members of Saint Mark Lutheran Church voted overwhelmingly to adopt a welcoming statement and become a Reconciling in Christ congregation.

Yesterday, Saint Mark continued to celebrate their new status at both their worship services, and processed out of the church and added the RIC logo to their sign.

They are the first RIC congregation in Salem, Oregon.
